New Beginnings.
The “Dawn in the Sedum Woods” image (above) was created for the cover photo for the January 2013 edition of the Creative Photography eMiniMagazine. The theme for the month was ~New Beginnings~.

The Composite Story
The “forest scene” composite art was created using high contrast black and white views of different images of the sedum flower.
These silhouettes were then brought into Photoshop and different layers of textures and color gradients were applied at various opacities.
As the theme was “New Beginnings”, I thought the transformation of a flower into a forest was fitting.
